2190 - Suffolk Gentleman

61 images 1 2 3 4 »

The perfect English gentleman for the 21st century, Trevor Pickett made his name in fine leather, with a shop in Burlington Arcade. His converted farmhouse in Suffolk has garden of wild poppies and purple thistles, all carefully cultivated. The house dates from the 1800s, and was never grand (the tumble down stables to one side attest to this), yet Pickett has given it a genteel makeover. Smart green slate tiles, a cluttered but clean wood panelled kitchen painted in Pickett's signature pale green, a fabulous zebra skin rug, antique console tables, and a country house arrangement of sofas and armchairs, all elevate this place from rustic farmhouse to gentleman’s retreat.
