2215 - Soho Artiste

Bradley Quinn has made his name with several interiors books and writes and lectures on fashion, art and architecture. He lives in this tiny but meticulously well-utilised space, above an Italian coffee bar in London’s Soho. The floor in the living room is painted with several coats of acrylic, topped with yacht varnish, in a pattern inspired by Mondrian. Art fills the walls, but doesn’t overcrowd this place. It feels like a shrunken New York gallery space. It’s white, white, white (Quinn used 11 litres of white gloss paint on the walls and ceilings), with flashes of intense, retina-scorching colour introduced through cushions, carefully selected objects, and works of art.
