36 images 1 2 3 »

This spacious contemporary conversion of a Victorian stable building brings the best in 21st century design to a delightful period building in a stunning countryside setting. Designed by the owner in collaboration with Pitman Tozer architects, the Workshop is an impressive former farm outbuilding standing at the edge of a one-acre wildflower meadow. Attention to detail is apparent throughout the building and the highly enthusiastic feedback from guests shows that the good design is appreciated! Sliding/folding patio doors lead from the oak deck into a large open plan living space where the focal point is a suspended spherical steel fireplace designed and made in France by Dominique Imbert. Facing it is a generous corner sofa/chaise longue with views out to the meadow. Other features include a large flat screen TV, DVD player and Sky Freesat, a side table designed by 20th century designer Eero Saarinen and Tolomeo Mega floor lamp.
