3705 - Eastbourne Just Got Stylish

Having been a furniture designer and maker for many years, Wycliffe Stutchbury is a handy man to have around. Six years ago, when he and his wife, Tamsin, and their daughters, Martha and Hattie, moved from a flat in North London to a house in Eastbourne, he was hands-on in renovating and customising their new home. The ground floor front and back rooms were knocked through to make a large kitchen/dining/living space, and Stutchbury not only participated in the structural work, but also designed and built the kitchen and made the wooden bowls on the shelves. This open-plan room is kept streamlined and neat because at the end of the corridor there is a separate utility and laundry room where washing machines, coats and tins of cat food are kept.
