3921 - An eye for detail

The charismatic and beautiful artist Marlene Cohr has tried life's ups and downs but has come out the other side wiser, stronger and happier; feeling life's good side again but in a whole new way. About two years ago, Marlene was lucky to find this gem of a residences in Østerbro, Denmark with large bright rooms, herringbone parquet and stucco ceilings. Initially, it needed hard work and was a challenge to get it right; the money was also limited, so much of the furniture was flea market finds, heirlooms or gifts from family and friends. Finally, with her new apartment and her son Sebastian on her arm Marlene had a blank canvas to start with. The decor is well settled and oozes personality and things that have a special meaning or a story to them. The furnishings and color palette are just simple, but when you look closely you will find small oases in the spaces with a clear eye for detail, style and colour scheme. Most clean walls are adorned with an interesting mix of different art and the rooms have a presence about them.
