A Venetian glass maker spent ten years renovating a long, barn like building on his estate making it in to a modern family home using many traditional materials and decorated with the best contemporary glass and furniture designs from his company. The marble for the bathrooms was hand picked from quarries around Italy, the mahogany treads on the curving staircase are old railway sleepers imported from South Africa and many of the wall are finished with tinted Venetian plaster polished by hand to an almost glass like finish.
