Spanish born Isabel Hammond enjoyed a successful international career in advertising, before deciding to train as an interior designer when living in New York. There she built up a thriving business, but gave it all up when she began a family and moved with her English husband to Wimbledon. This 1920s villa has been completely gutted with the space reconfigured to Isabel’s own design. Large airy spaces in cool blues and greys, Accented by chocolate browns, is the backdrop for her stunning Collection of Biedermeier and Deco furniture, complemented by bold Contemporary art. Yet this is very much a practical family space too, with a huge open plan kitchen, dining and family area leading out to the garden beyond. Lighting has been carefully considered to add another layer of interest and beauty to fabrics, colours and Textures. Writer helen@helenchislett.com
