Rosemund Whalley

Artist Rosamund Whalley moved to Wales to be closer to two of her daughter and now lives in a converted farm building close to the younger of them. Although a grandmother Whalley was keen to embrace aspects of modern and environmental design in her new home. The restored stone walls of the early Victorian cow byre and hay store are insulated with a straw panelling, the paints are natural tints and she added contemporary designer radiators and a fire basin suspended from the ceiling. This live work space has a light modern feel but is comfortable and practical for an elderly, single person. Writer vinnylee@btinternet.com
